Enabling the digital future
Connecting the World
VX Fiber is a Swedish technology company – a digital infrastructure specialist, with more than 20 years’ experience building and operating full fibre FTTP (fibre-to-the-premises) open access networks globally.
VX Fiber’s mission is to create value in the community in which we live and work, to help individuals, businesses and the community as a whole to gain their digital freedom.
Councils/Local Authorities have four quantifiable objectives – economic, social, environmental and efficiency. We can help them to meet these objectives by implementing an open access fibre network.
Telecoms & Utilities
Using VX Fiber, communications providers benefit from a proven increase in customer satisfaction. Branded customer portal, providing ultimate choice for end users in real time.
Our model provides Real Estate owners with an increase in marketability, an increase in rents, an increase in property value and direct revenue from fibre assets.
VX Fiber’s open access operating model gives joint investors a secure long term investment return.
Full Fibre Open Access Model
Open access means competing Service Providers share a common FTTP infrastructure operated by a neutral wholesale operator. The network is open to all providers on the same terms and conditions. VX Fiber does not provide services but simply enables ISPs via its open access platform.
The benefit to customers is that they are not locked into a monopoly. If customers want to switch to another ISP, they can do so easily, within minutes.
News & Press
The UK government is in the throes of a post-pandemic recovery – with plans to ‘Build Back Better’ and a promise to ‘level-up’ all regions in the country. Its aim is to ensure there’s equal opportunity for economic growth and social development, such as access to jobs, education, healthcare and housing, for every citizen from John O’Groats to Lands’ End.
As part of Total Telecom’s Connected Britain, VX Fiber hosted a special pre-event day on 20th September 2021, “Local Authorities: Delivering Digital Transformation.” Its aim was to further understand and support the challenges local governments are facing when it comes to the roll-out of next-generation digital infrastructure.
In a new ISPreview.co.uk interview the Chairman of Swedish operator VX Fiber, Mikael Sandberg, has helped to illuminate the “stark difference in attitude towards fibre in the UK compared with Sweden” and highlights some of the ways in which FTTP broadband deployments on this side of the channel could be improved.
With the network operations centre in Sweden, and satellite offices and operations across Europe, South Africa and South-East Asia, VX Fiber is connecting new subscribers at a rate of 5,000 per month.
